Since joining the company in 2005, Mark has helped to reposition Promethean as a global provider of Activclassroom solutions. He has helped the company expand into a number of new international markets, ensured that improving the users experience is a cornerstone to the company's strategy, and reinforced Promethean's position as a leading market innovator through being first to market with a number of solutions. These have included, the first to launch an integrated IWB solution, (Activboard+2), the first to offer an integrated assessment solution - Activote (now EMEA market leader), the first to launch a community portal for interactive technology users - Promethean Planet - (now with over 50,000 subscribers), the first to launch an on-line training environment for users - (Promethean learning.com - with over 7,000 training courses registered ), and the first to launch integrated interactive publisher/software offering (Cutting Edge ELT ) with Pearson Education.
In the same period the company has also continued to grow, win industry awards such Worlddidac (for the second time), Technology & Learning (US), amongst them and also critically, formed a number of key strategic relationships with education providers (Nettreker, Scholastic Publications, Academic Benchmarks, Inspiration, Nelson Thornes, Elluminate, Pearson education, Oxford University Press, Explore Learning) further differentiating the uniqueness of the company's offering.
Prior to Promethean Mark executive positions with both public and private consulting and technology organisations in the US, Latin America and Europe.
