Jose is an associate member of the Movement of the Modern School and the Association of Portuguese Teachers and regularly participates in seminars and conferences in Portugal and abroad. A qualified teacher of Portuguese and French, Jose has a degree from the University of Aveiro and is currently undertaking his PhD in ‘ICT in Education’ at the University of Lisbon.
Coordinator of the regional project “Interact – interactive whiteboards in the classroom” and the pilot project “Navigating Schools” Arouca Secondary School, which involved several partners including Promethean, Jose is a recognised expert in his field.

Accredited as a teacher trainer in Educational Technology by the Scientific/Pedagogical Advisor for Continuing Education, Jose had also conducted a number of seminars and courses on a variety of educational issues.

Jose’s achievements include becoming a certified recognised user, curriculum developer and training & resources developer with Promethean, he was also awarded the European Schoolnet Top100 elearning Award in 2004 and again in 2007.
Born in Sever do Vouga (Aveiro District – Portugal), Jose is 38 years old and a father of 2.
