The ITiE Symposium 07
Where Technology Meets Education
Research proves that interactive technology in the classroom helps to deliver better education for our children. The big questions now are - How effectively is this technology driving academic results? What life-skills is education technology providing for students? Where is this classroom technology best deployed, and who benefits most? How important is training? What works – and what doesn’t? How is technology used for early learners, do they learn differently?
The ITiE Symposium 07 uses British and international experience and research to present and discuss key issues and developments in interactive technology for education.
The Symposium is a prestigious three day event in the heart of London, offering the opportunity to listen to and participate in discussion of a range of vital education issues. Interactive technology is built into the Symposium – you will be able to use the technology for education, as well as see it and talk about it. There is also the opportunity to visit some schools where teachers show and share their experience of using it in their classroom.
The event begins by looking into the near future – we examine the UK’s £2billion ‘Building Schools for the Future’ programme and what it hopes to deliver over the coming decades. Day 2 presents the largest-ever body of research findings on the effectiveness of technology in education, while we share the final day with the Westminster Forum, who have engaged renowned speakers from the world of government and education to present views on Assessment for Learning – how? why? too much? What are its effects on pupils and teachers?
The ITiE Symposium 07 is a must for education decision makers and influencers from around the world. It’s an event not to be missed.
Please note: UK delegates may attend for just one day if you wish to do so.
